About the EISS VERIFIED certificate

What is EISS VERIFIED

EISS VERIFIED is a voluntary certification system aimed at increasing the transparency of product composition information by providing access to data from laboratory tests.

The certification focuses on a single, clearly defined area: verifying the compliance of the declared active ingredient content with the results of independent laboratory tests.

The system does not replace legal regulations or official controls and is complementary in nature.

Nature of certification

The EISS VERIFIED certification is:

voluntary – participation in the system depends on the manufacturer's decision,

independent – based on tests conducted by independent laboratories,

technical – based on the analysis of measurable parameters,

systemic – developed and managed by the EISS Standards Foundation.

The EISS VERIFIED certificate is not an official certificate and does not constitute marketing authorization for the product.

Scope of certification

The certification covers the assessment of compliance of the declared product composition by comparing:

N

the manufacturer's declaration,

N

the results of laboratory tests.

Scope of certification:

L

is partial in nature,

L

is determined individually for the product,

L

refers to selected ingredients that can be analytically determined.

Assessment criteria

The composition compliance assessment is conducted based on the criteria specified in the EISS VERIFIED Standard.

These criteria define the acceptable ranges of deviation between the declared ingredient content and the results of laboratory tests. The certification level is determined based on the fulfillment of these criteria.

The criteria used in the system are autonomous in nature and are independent of the minimum requirements resulting from legal regulations.

Certification levels

The system includes three levels:

EISS VERIFIED

EISS VERIFIED ADVANCED

EISS VERIFIED EXCELLENCE

The certification level is automatically determined based on the test results.

Certification methodology

The assessment of composition compliance is conducted based on the results of tests performed by independent laboratories.

The methodology takes into account:

  • variability of raw materials,
  • technological tolerances of the production process,
  • measurement uncertainty of analytical methods.

The aim is to obtain a reliable and objective assessment of the compliance of the declared composition.

EISS VERIFIED certification does not cover:

K

product safety assessment,

K

assessment of performance effectiveness,

K

assessment of compliance with legal provisions,

K

assessment of the product's intended use,

K

verification of marketing claims.

The scope of certification is limited to analytical aspects.

VALIDITY PERIOD

The certificate is issued for a period of 12 months.

The certificate applies to products manufactured during its validity period.

For these products, the certificate remains associated with them throughout their shelf life, regardless of the certificate's expiry date.

The certificate does not cover products manufactured after its validity period ends.

CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION

Each certificate has:

  • unique identification number,
  • specific validity period,
  • public entry in the certificate register.

The certificate can be verified by:

  • access to the online register,
  • QR code placed on the product.

The QR code leads to the current certificate profile.

TRANSPARENCY

Transparency and access to data are the basis for the functioning of the system.

The certificate profile allows you to view:

  • certification level,
  • scope of analysis,
  • research results,
  • certificate status.

THE ROLE OF THE FOUNDATION

The EISS VERIFIED system is developed and managed by the EISS Standards Foundation. The system's operation supports the foundation's goals of increasing the transparency of product information and access to analytical data.
